I'm always surprised when people recognize me. Or my name.

I recently signed up for a Twin Cities spec fic workshop, and one of the other members said:

How's ViceSteed coming along? I dropped off the Critters map for a while for work reasons, but I've always wondered how your story was progressing. It's truly one of the [most] dark, original, and just [plain] gorgeous pieces I've had the pleasure of reading.*

Surprising, pleasing, and a bit weird. Yay! I'll take whatever positive feedback** I can get.

** I work at this writing thing*** pretty hard, and I've only had limited success so far. I need some reassurance that I'm not wasting my time on something I'll never be any good at.
