Mission Accomplished.

I'm a brown belt now.... (sung to the tune of "I'm a Big Kid Now!")

It went relatively well, I think. The finger was nice and mostly unswollen. I remembered all my material (I think). I knew going in that my jumpkicks were subpar, and unfortunately a miracle failed to occur. I was really unsteady on one section of my longform, which surprised and irritated me, but I was super-steady on the mirror image of that section, which also surprised me. The long staff form went ok. I got all the bits in order, despite the person who was doing their form at the same time as me losing the pattern. I could have been smoother and stronger, and I fumbled a catch a little bit, but it went better than I'd feared, if not as well as I'd hoped. Sparring and board-breaking were fun, though I was having so much fun sparring that I forgot to showboat as much as I should have. Bad Abra. I know I can do really well at that. With the exception of a couple of bobbles, I felt focused throughout the test, which is important.

I probably forgot some kiyaps. I tend to do that.

Then I was ravenously hungry (test ran from about noon to about three, I think) and devoured a hot dog, chips, and a root beer float. Then I came home and slept for several hours. The muse attempted several times to wake me up, but I patted him on top of the head and he had to obey his snooze button. Then there was getting really, really clean. Now I think it is time for more eating. I wish I could teleport to Appleby's and have their steak dinner. Right Now.
